The Broad Top Area Coal Miners Historical Society, Inc. is overseen by a 12-member board of directors who meet the first Saturday of each month, at 10 a.m., at the Coal Miners Museum.
Founded in 1990, the Historical Society operates as a 501c3 Charitable Organization to preserve the history and heritage of the Broad Top Area.
The society is dedicated to the preservation and interpretation of the coal mining and railroading history of the Broad Top Mountain and Coal Field, located in the corners of Huntingdon, Bedford and Fulton counties of south-central Pennsylvania
